The Dedication Celebrated with Sacrifice

8
Chapter 8
62 And the king and all Israel with him were offering sacrifices before the LORD. 63 And Solomon offered as peace offerings to the LORD the sacrifices that he offered: twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred twenty thousand sheep. And the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the temple of the LORD. 64 On that day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD, for there he made the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fats of the peace offerings; for the bronze altar that was before the LORD was too small to contain the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fats of the peace offerings. 65 And Solomon held the festival at that time, and all Israel with him—a great assembly from Lebo-hamath to the Wadi of Egypt—before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, fourteen days. 66 On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their tents rejoicing and with glad hearts over all the good that the LORD had done for David his servant and for Israel his people.
